Learning Center Admissions

The Learning Center at Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory was established in the Fall of 1999. Its purpose is to provide resource support to students so they may be able to succeed in their pursuit of a college preparatory curriculum at C-M and to address the needs of students who have academic learning exceptionalities. Through their participation in the Learning Center program, students will develop the skills necessary to become independent learners by acquiring organizational skills, test-taking techniques, study strategies, and self-advocacy. It should be noted that Chaminade-Madonna does not modify curriculum for students who are enrolled in the Learning Center. Students in this program are expected to go on to college, but may require some type of additional support or accommodations to perform at their full potential. Students attend the Learning Center by grade level during regular school hours for one period of resource support.

In addition to the general admission requirements, parents will be required to provide Psycho-educational Testing documentation and an IEP, if applicable. Formal documentation must include recent aptitude and achievement testing results. Results may not be more than three years old. All documentation needs to be submitted to Chaminade-Madonna upon registration. Please note that additional fees will be applied to tuition if a student is accepted into the Learning Center program.

Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory highly recommends that your child take advantage of this program.

Congratulations to our CMCP Lions football team for being crowned the 3A State Champions after defeating King's Academy with a final score of 38-10. The championship game, which took place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, marks consecutive visits to the 3A State Championships for the Chaminade-Madonna Lions and their fourth state title. "To me it's more than just a back-to-back State Championship," noted Head Coach Dameon Jones. "It's about teaching these young men how to overcome adversity. My goal has always been to mold these young men into successful student athletes and it couldn't be done without the support and help from the entire Chaminade Madonna community."
